    Battlefield 1943 Details

Battlefield 1943 is a remake of the 2002 Battlefield 1942. The original was a huge hit on PC, the game introduced the option of classes to shooters which hadn't been done before. Though the remake will only feature three classes - infantry, rifleman and scout.
Trains are just about the only form of transport you can't use. Along with tanks, jeeps and fighter planes, you will also be able to fly bombers, submarines and warships.
The game will only feature one game type. Conquest, which is a bit like domination on Call of Duty.
Battlefield 1943 will have 3 maps when released (Wake Island, Guadalcanal and Iwo Jima). It is being made using the Frostbite engine, which ables you to destroy anything! You heard us, everything!
As it is a PSN Downloadable game only, DICE have announced that their is no need to supply extra content to unlock. So you will stay with all the weapons, kit and vehicles you star with. Good news is there WILL be a levelling-up system, which will give you new abilities when you reach certain milestones in the game.
Finally, unlike other PSN Shooters the game is based on a real war. All the weapons, kit, vehicles and unifroms will be perfectly recreated.

Battlefield 1943 is due for release on the PSN Store in May.
